I guess the older you get, the more aware you become. When your 5, buying anything other than candy or games probably seems worthless. When your 21, alcohol and food are probably on the top of the list. And when you hit 50, your probably thinking about retirement and what beach you want to visit. At each successive age, you can look back and remember how naive you must have been to believe in things like santa or the easter bunny. But that's exactly how you learn, with age. So when a band like the Jonas brothers have such authority and influence on a younger group, you have to hope its with good intentions. They can easily trick us though. Just like you can tell your parents your studying, when your really getting ready to party. Its just the image you give off to the intended audience.
